MONASTERY MILESEVA

Monastery Mileseva is located near a medieval road, which connected regions of the coast with central parts of the state and moved further to the East. In the Middle Ages, near Mileseva, was developing a monastic square,called Prijepolje today, which is mentioned already in 1343.

 
MONASTERY MANASIJA
Monastery Manasija is a foundation and mausoleum of Despot Stefan Lazarevic. It is located near the river Resava, close to Despotovac. The monastery Manasija is one of the greatest monuments of Serbian medieval culture and it belongs to the Morava school.
MONASTERY BLAGOVESTENJE
Under the hillsides of Rudnik, 8 km from the village Stragara, in the heart of Sumadija, near the Blagovestanska River , there is the monastery Blagovestenje.In the past only people riding horses

could come to the monastery.

MONASTERY STUDENICA
Studenica Monastery was built somewhere around 1190, near picturesque canyon of Ibar, 11 kilometers from the settlement Usce on the Ibar's highway. From that place road winds through beautiful mountain landscapes, rich with coniferous forest and meadows full of flowers, along the fast and clear river Studenica, that empties into river Ibar near Usce.
